When  I wrote up the revised plan for the August 2017 Residency at La Maison Verte, I omitted the reference to the film ” Babette’s Feast” (a 1987 Danish drama film directed by Gabriel Axel).

It is the food scene where Babette creates French food for the village that is most enchanting.  The food clips are available to watch on YouTube, as well as the entire film, which will put my presentation of the food in context.

This is the basis of the Installation inside of the 100 ft  Rose Garden Trellis that I proposed for the Art Opening.  Slow cooked foods from the wood fired oven and breads and salads and desserts were included.  The entire installation and public participation was filmed. The cooking in the wood fired bread oven would be the start of the collaboration – wonderful!
